Yesterday Georgian Quilters had a ‘Valentines Tea’. When a group of Ladies meet regularly friendships are formed. There is chatter. Always sitting & listening leads to the chatter growing louder. (The backside of this story is that GQ members are busy…. getting ready for their quilt show ” Beyond The Wall” in November, they are organizing and hosting a Quilters Boutique for the “Quilts in the Garden” quilt show in July (see side bar) and doing community outreach through the Meaford Anglican Church Ladies Annual Quilt Show in April.)
The GQ Program committee took care of the need to chatter/talk/discuss yesterday with a sweet event called a Valentine’s Tea. Of course it comes with tea and treats and eye candy.
There was also a generous collection of treats that will travel with these postcards care of a local young man stationed in Afghanistan.
The beginning of Boutique items and ideas. First boutique is in July.
March 18th our next meeting date a program entitled “Our Friends from Wasaga Beach”….and Quilt Time first Thursday March 4th…I’ll be thinking of you while enroute to the north west coast of Canada. Fran will be back from the Olympics with lots of stories.
