The weather was wintery, the driving was ‘ winter decent’, 23 Quilters came together at the Terrace room in the Meaford Opera House, our usual meeting place. We selected and de- selected, and re selected fabric, layered and re-layered fabric, cut and parried, slashed and sewed, and created 9 quilt tops on a wintery day. We had a bit of lunch, a bunch of tea and cookies and I think everyone was still cheery, if tired at the end of a February’s winter day.
Thank you all for coming, I will post pictures soon. See the real items at the coming GQ Guild meeting Feb. 17. See you, bring a friend.

ps Remember the Silent action Feb.17 I have treasures galore from recent ‘stash’ donations to the Guild from a former member getting ready to move. What do you have to donate? Community Quilts is looking for ‘backing’ pieces to accommodate 54 X 60″ quilts.
